A Personal Approach

Diversified

Diversified is the most common form of treatment in chiropractic offices. It is a very specific adjustment that often results in a popping noise. It is used on the spine as well as extremities. Although we love this technique, it is not for every patient. The doctor will work with you to help decide what is the best treatment for you.

Thompson Technique

Thompson Technique is a less aggressive technique than Diversified. It specific technique that targets restricted joints.  A table or board drops under the area being treated and motion is put in the joint when the table stops moving. This also stimulates proprioceptive nerve fibers and decreases pain in the area.

Webster Technique

Webster Technique is used to treat pregnant patients with low back pain. It is used to assess and treat patients pelvic restrictions, sacral restrictions and treat round ligament pain. Dr. Thompson was trained by Dr. Jeanne Ohm, former head of the International Pediatric Chiropractic Association (ICPA).

Activator Technique

Activator Technique is a gentle technique that is great for children, elderly, hypersensitive patients and patients that are scared of traditional chiropractic techniques. A spring loaded instrument is placed on a specific area of restriction and taps the patient. The gentle tap stimulates the nervous system and has a similar effect that is traditional chiropractic adjustment does.

Cox Flexion Distraction

Cox Flexion Distraction is gentle technique used to treat a disc herniation. It places a vacillating pressure in a disc to pull a herniation inward and put it in a position to heal. Multiple MRIs were taken before and after treatments in the development of this technique by Dr. Cox to show how a herniation heals with this treatment.

Sacral Occiput Technique (S.O.T.)

This is a gentle technique that is safe to use on elderly, osteoporotic and hypersensitive patients. It uses wedge shaped blocks to balance and restore motion the patients pelvis and spine.

Decompression Therapy

We use the Triton DTS.
Decompression has been around for a couple milllinium. In the last couple decades it has massively improved. We offer treatment with a computerized decompression unit. It treats disc herniations and spinal stenosis.

Intersegmental Traction

This form of traction is used to put motion into the spine. It is also gentle and effective way to relax the muscles of the spine and feels like a gentle massage.

Inferential Current

This modality is seen in every pro and college training room. It feels like a gentle tingle. It can be used to relax muscles, remove swelling and even tear muscle to grow it stronger. It all depends on the frequency used and our goals.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture. It isn't scary. You don't feel the needles and depending on the condition often have immediate relief. We can also treat points using laser or electricity.

Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound therapy is a great tool to treat sprains and strains.

Laser Therapy

We offer a Class IV laser that has 4 frequencies and a pulse to treat all depths of tissue. It is FDA approved for pain and inflammation.
